Three shortlist mentions in one round, alongside Lenovo, Mozilla, Optimizely, Boston Consulting Group, CommerceIQ, Flipkart and Mercor. We are proud of this one.
WeTransform has been named on the shortlist of The 2026 A.I. Awards in three categories at once: AI Startup of the Year, AI Innovation of the Year, and Best Use of AI in Retail and eCommerce. Here is what each nomination reflects about the work, and who else made the cut in each category.

Shortlisted in three categories
The 2026 A.I. Awards, operated by The Cloud Awards, is one of the largest AI recognition programmes in cloud computing. This year's edition drew nominations from all over the world, from household technology names to new startups. The judges reviewed every entry before publishing today's shortlist.
WeTransform appears in three of the shortlists:
- AI Startup of the Year. For young companies building meaningful AI products.
- AI Innovation of the Year. For novel technical work in the field.
- Best Use of AI in Retail and eCommerce. For AI applied to real retail operations.
Being shortlisted in three at the same time is not a coincidence. It is the same product, seen from three angles.
AI Startup of the Year: building a category, not a feature
WeTransform did not set out to be another tool. It set out to define a category: AI Import Management for B2B SaaS.
The premise is simple. Every B2B SaaS that receives files from its customers hits the same wall. Catalogues, manifests, spreadsheets, exports, all in different shapes. The formats multiply. Onboarding slows down. Engineers write parsers on the side. Support cleans CSVs by hand.
That is format multiplication. It is structural, not accidental, and it grows with every new client.
Our answer is an embeddable AI file importer, dropped into the customer's product in a few lines of code. Their users upload data in any format. Their system receives it clean, mapped, and validated. No API contract to draft, no template to enforce, no back-and-forth.
That framing is what "startup building a category" means to us. The shortlist mention tells us the framing lands. There is a longer take on it in AI Import Management explained.
The AI Startup shortlist this year includes Mercor, PointFive, Selector, Prophetic and 15 other companies from around the world. Being named in that group is a strong signal on the seriousness of what we are building.
AI Innovation of the Year: an agentic data-onboarding layer in production
Most import problems live on the wrong side of the browser. The customer's data enters the SaaS product from the outside, but the parsing, mapping, and validation land inside the engineering roadmap. Every new format hits the same team.
WeTransform pushes the intelligence into the upload surface itself. Four capabilities do the work today, live in production:
- Walter, our agentic data-onboarding layer. Walter is the agent that reads a customer's raw file, decides on the schema mapping, negotiates edge cases, and delivers clean structured data to the SaaS backend. What used to be a multi-step wizard is now a single agentic call. This is the flagship innovation behind the shortlist. Read Walter in depth.
- AI column mapping detects source-to-target correspondences automatically. "Prix HT" becomes "price_excl_tax" without a manual step.
- AI category mapping handles taxonomy differences across dozens of target schemas.
- Fill the Gaps completes missing attributes from the data that already exists in the file.
Each capability counts on its own. Together, with Walter orchestrating end-to-end, a multi-day onboarding drops to minutes. See what an embedded data importer actually is for the reference frame.
The AI Innovation shortlist includes Lenovo (Super Agent), Mozilla (Firefox), Optimizely (Agent Platform), CVS Health, Monte Carlo AI, Certinia, Syncfusion and a dozen more. Landing there next to Firefox and Lenovo, with a category that did not exist two years ago, is the kind of validation the roadmap needed.
Best Use of AI in Retail and eCommerce: 36 million products with Sellermania
The retail category is where the numbers become concrete.
At Sellermania, one of the largest French marketplace management platforms, WeTransform runs behind the merchant onboarding flow. Merchants upload catalogues in any format. Sellermania receives them clean, mapped to the target marketplace's schema, categorised, validated.
The measured impact:
- 90% reduction in catalogue onboarding time. Days become minutes.
- 50% fewer import-related support tickets.
- 36 million products transformed, mapped, and delivered clean.
The full story is in the Sellermania case study, and the earlier win at the Cas d'Or du Digital 2026 in the Sellermania Cas d'Or write-up.
Retail and eCommerce is where format multiplication hurts the most. Every marketplace has its own taxonomy. Every merchant exports catalogues from a different back-office. AI Import Management turns that mess into a first-week experience.
The Retail and eCommerce shortlist places WeTransform alongside Boston Consulting Group (Revenue Growth Management AI by BCG X), CommerceIQ (AllyAI), Flipkart Commerce Cloud (Agentic Commerce Suite), SymphonyAI, Pacvue, Talkdesk, Parloa, Printify and others. It is a clear read of who the international jury sees at the front of AI in retail this year.
About The 2026 A.I. Awards
The 2026 A.I. Awards is operated by The Cloud Awards, an international programme recognising leaders in cloud computing since 2011. It is one of five programmes covering cloud, SaaS, cloud security, artificial intelligence, and financial technologies.
Winners are selected by a panel of international industry experts.
James Williams, CEO of The Cloud Awards, on this year's edition: "This first phase of the awards is always extremely exciting. Nominees continue to show how technological boundaries are being pushed, and new levels of business value are being unlocked through clever applications of AI."
The full shortlist is at cloud-awards.com/ai-awards/2026-shortlist.
Next steps: finalists on September 22
The programme now enters its second round. Judges will select a group of finalists in each category, revealed on September 22, 2026. Winners will be announced in October.
Whatever the second round returns, three shortlist mentions at the same time tell us the same thing three times. The AI Import Management framing is doing its job. The embeddable AI file importer is solving the problem that platforms had accepted as the cost of growth.
It should not be. Book a 20-minute demo to see how it looks in your product.
